On Sunday, June 14th, Grace Sacramento hosted the first of a series of Cultural Conversation about race to begin to process events in our country since the horrific death of George Floyd in Minneapolis on May 25th, 2020.
Our pastors joined a panel discussion with Charles & Julie Lloyd and Micah & Taylor Metts-Houston, two mixed race, married couples who call Grace Sacramento their church home.
Our goal was not to reach conclusions, give answers or to endorse any kind of platform, but to listen, to lament and pursue the kind of unity, compassion and love for one another that we are promised is possible in the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Our hope is that this will be the first of a series of conversations in our pursuit of our vision to be a intergenerational, multi-ethnic gospel centered community of grace.
