1. Pharaoh sees God as one of many gods in the world. He doesn’t see why he should obey the Lord God over other Egyptian deities.

• Do you see this pluralistic mindset showing up in our culture or in your own life?
• What are some modern 'deities' people build their lives on that prove to be fragile or empty?

2. Share about a time in your life when choosing your own way over God's way unleashed upheaval or chaos? Looking back, how did that experience ultimately demonstrate to you that God alone is wise and knows best how you should live?

3. A major point of the sermon was that the plagues were sent to save, not just to punish. How does this challenge or reshape your view of God’s character to realize that his judgments are intended to lead to salvation, even for those who are his enemies?

4. The plagues and God’s judgment in Exodus foreshadow God’s ultimate judgment on mankind. The Scriptures teach that we all like sheep have gone astray (Isaiah 53:6). We all deserve God’s righteous judgment, but God laid on Jesus the iniquity of us all to save those who trust in him. How does this help keep you from hardening your heart toward God and encourage you to trust him and walk in his ways?
