1. How does seeing the people of Israel (complain about food and drink, go against God’s warnings about gathering Manna, and reminisce about life in Egypt) humble you to repentance?

2. At the question, “Is the Lord among us or not?” (Exodus 7:7), God says, “They drank from the spiritual Rock that followed them, and the Rock was Christ” (1 Corinthians 10:1-4). Even as Christians, why do you think we often harbor doubts about God’s presence and care in our life, and how can we combat such doubts?

3. How are the bread from heaven and water for life in today’s Scripture a preview of what God was going to do through his Son Jesus for our salvation? (It would help to think about the Holy Communion.)
