Grace Sacramento has partnered with World Relief, a global refugee resettlement agency, but particularly with the Sacramento office over the past few years. We have had great opportunity to help resettle refugee families into the Sacramento area in a number of different ways: by being a good neighbor team, furnishing apartments, airrport pick-ups and transportation to and from appointments.
However, during this Covid season, we are simply making an effort to safely help in any way for these families settle in a new place. Join us during this Lenten season in one of three ways:
1) Give: Our Lenten goal is to raise $2,500 to help World Relief intentionally pursue the children and youth of refugee families in Sacramento with resources for distance learning and English as a Second Language (ESL). Go to our give page and select the Lent 2021: Intentional Pursuit fund.
2) Donate: Used furniture, new and used household goods to help furnish a Sacramento apartment for an arriving refugee family (See what is needed here).
3) Join: Our Grace Sacramento Good Neighbor Team (GNT) and build a relationship of care and service with a refugee family in need during the first 3 months of their new life in California. Contact Micah to get involved.
