Join us Sundays at 9:00AM (with livestream) AND 10:45AM

Our team consists of deacons and elders who love God and serve the church at Grace Sacramento. While the elders are ordained to shepherd and oversee the health of the church, deacons are commissioned to shepherd and serve the needs of the church, caring for people and for the church's facilities.

What is the Diaconate?

The diaconate, a group of men and women (deacons/deaconesses) nominated by the members of Grace Sacramento are appointed and commissioned by the elders. The diaconate is the entire body of officers tasked with the mercy and stewardship in the church. They carry out the church's Biblical mandate to introduce people to the love of Christ by meeting practical, visible, physical and felt needs.

Ministry of Response

Provide a loving and merciful response to Grace Sacramento families in crisis, tragedy, transition and loss by assessing needs and shepherding a restoration process through access to financial resources, discipleship and a network of services.

Ministry of Outreach

We seek to reach out with the love of Christ through planning and sending believers to care and serve the felt needs of the community, city and world.

What is the Session?

The session is simply a gathering of elders at a local church. It consists of pastors and ruling elders. The biblical model of leadership is probably best characterized in the phrase "servant leader." Just as Christ didn't come to be served, but to serve (Mark 10:45), the role of elders is to be servant leaders as they oversee and shepherd. A ruling elder is a member elected by the members of Grace Sacramento.
