What happens in a service?

What happens in a service?

Our worship services run approximately 70-75 minutes and follow a similar form each week. Our service order, or liturgy, follows four movements (Gathering, Word, Table and Sending) that have been the backbone rhythms of Christian worship from the earliest days of the church. Our worship in these four movements provide a rhythm and model for the individual Christian life and for the way we live together. It is designed to tell the story of God’s redemptive work in the world and in our hearts. We consider every aspect of our service to be an act of worship to the living God, who has revealed Himself most fully through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

WHAT ABOUT MY CHILDREN/TEEN?

GraceKids
We believe children are important to God. And definitely, they are an important part of Grace Sacramento. Children (Pre-K through 6th grade) join in worship with the adults from the beginning and are dismissed during a portion of the service and return before the communion. A nursery is also available for infants and toddlers.

GraceYouth
Teens join in worship, too, but sit in with the adults for the entirety of the service. We pride ourselves in being an "inter-generational" ministry where the whole body of Christ can come together in worship and celebration.

WHAT DO I WEAR?

We don't have a dress code at Grace Sacramento. Just come as you are. We believe God cares more about your soul than what kind of shirt you wear.

WILL I BE ASKED TO GIVE?

We do have a time for offering, but it is for our members and regular attendees. We do rely on the support of giving to support the regular ministries of the church. However, if you are a visitor/guest, please do not feel compelled to give.
