Grace Groups

In the Fall of 2019, we begin an Inductive Bible Study (observation, interpretation, and application) through the book of Hebrews in each Grace Group, and continues through the Winter/Spring of 2020.

Our hope is that the people of Grace Sacramento would find a deeper love for Christ and His Word as we study this amazing letter to the Hebrews of the elevating of Jesus above all. The book of Hebrews contrasts Jesus to key historical people and events from the Old Testament. And through these comparisons, we see His superiority. He is greater than angels, the Torah, Moses, the Promised Land, priests, Melchizedek, sacrifices, and the covenant. Hebrews pictures Jesus as bringing a better hope, a better sacrifice and a better inheritance for those who place their faith in Him.

"Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need." (Hebrews 4:14-16)

Why Grace Groups? We believe that Grace Groups is a great vehicle for connecting people for the purpose of growing in Christlikeness through:

  1. Careful study and application of God's Word,
  2. The building of meaningful relationships through accountability and affirmation, and
  3. The discovery and development of our spiritual gifts for the edification of the body.
